I went up to Wisconsin this past weekend to visit my family. On Saturday morning, Ma and I went to wish Uncle Terry a happy birthday at Beauty and the Bean in Fort Atkinson. My cousin Chrissy was there with her little boy Owen, plus her uncle Ron, her sister Alex, and our Aunt Peggy. Saturday afternoon I did some tax stuff with Ma. Saturday night I helped my dad re-assemble his home theater system. Sunday morning, we were still tweaking the setup on the home theater. Sunday afternoon we went to visit my brother's family. Whew!

My dad's big screen TV died. So, he upgraded to a 55" flat panel LCD. Nice!!
Dad and I made this shelf to go above the TV. It will hold the center speaker and whatever else it needs to. It's mounted directly to the cabinets on either side of the TV. We made it removable in case he needs to move the cabinets around or whatever. Gravity keeps it in place.
Finished product. Well, almost. This was before we had the HDMI cable from my brother for the Blu-Ray player. I had to re-program his awesome universal remote.
The boys play very well together. Nash is speaking in full sentences now. He was able to make a logical plea to his mom to help him resolve a disagreement with Linc. I think Nash will become a diplomat. I think Linc will become a hellion.
