Bird

Can you identify this bird? It visits my Ma's birdfeeder.

Same species?

While I was up in Wisconsin, I got to see another "Bird". (That's what I call my brother.) We had dinner out with his family. Then Nash invited us back to his house to finger paint. What fun! My favorite part was riding there in Brad's car. I got to talk to Nash and Linc the whole way. They were such a hoot!

Old friends

Last week I was up at Epic reconnecting with some old friends. Just kidding.

There's Betty...

...and Peter...

...and Ken.

Epic has a beautiful campus and some amazing buildings. This is Epic's training center in the foreground. One of their many office buildings is in the background. Each one has a "theme" like "jungle", "Asian", "Wild West", or "New York City".

Shred

On New Years' Eve, I decided to "start the year off right" by cleaning out my file drawers. I put my new laptop on a random loop of Castle episodes (displayed on my TV) and I started an all-day shredding party.

And I didn't stop until my recycle bin was FULL. I had to pause every so often to let my shredder cool down. (It had a tendency to smoke when I pushed its limits.)

Good luck piecing that mess together, Identity Thieves!

Another family Christmas

My father had the unexpected pleasure of being off for Christmas. This afforded my parents the opportunity to come to my house for the weekend. The weather wasn't really cooperating, but they made it down anyway.

Family Christmas

We had our family Christmas on Brad's birthday at his house. I spent most of my time enjoying the food and the company, so I didn't take many pictures.

My nephews had a really great time opening up all their presents. My parents got Linc "Linc N Logs".

I got Nash an engine you can take apart and tune up.

Santa visited while we were there.

Santa and my brother's family.

My favorite Christmas tradition

I love to decorate cookies with Ma every year.

She's got all the colorful sugars we need to make each cookie beautiful. And unique!

We use the same recipe every year for spritz and white cut-outs, but we tried a new recipe this year for gingerbread. It contained sour cream. Fantastic!

A month in review

As my sister-in-law recently pointed out, I've been an absent blogger since before Christmas. The next few posts are my last month in review...
