Late spring garden

Is this peony?? It's one of those mystery plants that I salvaged when I cleared the back garden two years ago. It has never blossomed, but this year it has a bud (upper left).

The Siberian iris are stunning, as usual. The color is a fantastic deep purple. It's too bad the bloom time is so tragically short.

The cauliflower plants are getting nice and big.

The broccoli leaves look a lot like cauliflower, but the edges are more jagged.

The beans are sprouting. Something got one of my tomato plants the first night it was out in the garden. Probably cut worm.

The robin's nest and the two dud eggs are now rotting on my compost pile. The nest was abandonned. The two ugly chicks must have graduated because I didn't find any dead bodies under the window.
